Land rover over land

big adventure

Mountain Rescue England & Wales is possibly the only national, truly voluntary organisation in the country. All of the members from the 56 local teams, regional bodies and the national body are run 100% by unpaid volunteers, i.e. there are no paid employees at any level within the organisation: locally, regionally or nationally.
Mountain Rescue in England and Wales is provided by around 3,500 highly trained volunteers, on call and able to respond immediately 24 hours a day, 365 days a year whatever the weather. What is remarkable about Mountain Rescue is that all our services are provided free of charge at the point of delivery for both the ‘rescued’ and any organisation requesting our assistance. Last year alone 1457 people were assisted in England and Wales!

3 reasons to give to mountain rescue:

1. The MR team risk their lives to save others in need.
2. They keep the best parts of England and Wales safe for us all to enjoy.
3. Without your support 1457 people wouldn’t have been rescued last year!
